A current resident and native of Memphis, TN, Christine Ruby is inspired continuously by the lush color palettes of the gardens in and around the city. Ruby obtained a BA in Studio Art at Loyola University New Orleans in 2008. She earned an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Memphis in 2013. Having taught Ceramics and Art History at Christian Brothers University for several years, she now finds herself working amongst the scenic grounds of the Dixon Gallery and Gardens. She seeks to make art that brings joy and color to the everyday experience.
